100% Gamay off of between 50 and 100 year old vines
From parcels in the pink granite soils of lieux-dits Les Braves and Oeillat. Harvested when fully ripe, by hand, then vinified via whole-cluster fermentation, in typical Beaujolais fashion. The wine is aged in concrete tanks before bottling without fining or filtration. The 2018 vintage gives us a rich, bold, and spicy Régnié, saturated with luscious fruit and earthy funk. It offers up aromas of red berries, licorice and plums. It’s medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a fine-boned, elegant profile, attractive purity of fruit and a perfumed finish. 13% ABV
