Chateau de Vaudieu L'Avenue Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2015

Chateau de Vaudieu L'Avenue Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2015
  • $ 80.00

The Château Vaudieu, located in the heart of the Châteauneuf du pape Appellation, was built in 1767 by Admiral Gérin, a lieutenant in the Marseille admiralty. It is one of the three genuine castles of the XVIIIth century in Châteauneuf du pape.  A micro-production wine (less than 300 cases), the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape l'Avenue is entirely Grenache from the lieu-dit Vaudieu, aged in demi-muids. Loaded with attractive notes of flowering garrigue and ripe cherries, it's full-bodied and creamy in texture on the palate, then glides to a long, spicy-peppery finish.  15% ABV

96pts- Wine Spectator, 94pts- Robert Parker and Jeb Dunnuck
