Chateau des Jacques Morgon 2019

This wine is a blend made from three vineyards within the appellation of Morgon: Côte du Py, Bellevue and Roche Noire. They are planted on pink granite or on diorite: the blue rock landmark of Côte du Py.  The wines are aged for 10 months in concrete tank and in oak barrels, in our historic cellar ; new oak, one, two and three vintages old barrels.  A brilliant and large aromatic palette (spices, ripen black fruit). On the palate, the tannins are still a bit firm - which indicates the potential of ageing – and they are well balanced by a great tension.  Intensely herbal with plenty of savory character, plus wild strawberry and blackcurrant pastille aromas. This is a crisp and compact Morgon with plenty of drive at the refreshing finish. 14.5% ABV
