Prieto Picudo is a very rare, dark-skinned, red wine grape that grows primarily in its homeland of León, located in northern Spain. There are a little more than 4,000 hectares planted in Spain.
Earthy and aromatic with prominent notes of wild cherries, blackberries, and black licorice, accompanied by subtle hints of tapenade and spice.  The palate features Dark fruit notes are complemented by rustic, chalky, and polished tannins. It maintains a bright, lively acidity with a smooth, mellow finish that features hints of vanilla and minerality. 13% ABV
