Sandhi Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay 2020

Sandhi is a small production California winery focusing on select vineyards from the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. Sandhi was founded in 2010 by Rajat Parr, the wine director for Michael Mina Restaurants, and winemaker, Sashi Moorman.

Sandhis village wine is a blend of vineyards from the southwestern part of Sta. Rita Hills including sections from Ritas Crown, Bentrock, and Wenzlau. The Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay is vinified with the same level of detail as the single vineyard wines and showcases the splendor of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation.  70-80% of this fruit is from Sandhi-designated blocks at Domaine de la Cote.

The wine is bright and sculpted, brimming with citrus, green pear, chalk, and white pepper overtones. The mid-palate is incredibly rich and focused and the finish is marked by minerality and mouthwatering acidity.  12.8% ABV
