Nerello Cappuccio is a variety grown on the Etna volcano for centuries, sweet and mildly tannic.  Winemaking in the Benanti family can be traced back to the late 1800s in Viagrande. This deep-rooted passion for wine is what led Giuseppe Benanti to establish the namesake winery in 1988.  The wine is deep ruby with distinct violet nuances. Fine aromas of spices, herbs, smoke and delicate red fruit are met with a complementary palate that is dry and medium-bodied with satin tannins, a pleasant acidity and lingering, harmonious flavors of red fruit on the finish.  13.5% ABV
