From father to son to brothers to cousins, four generations of the Giacosa family have passed down their talent from making fascinating red wines in the Langhe region. Founder Giuseppe was the only one of four brothers in the late 1890s to work the land, a passion then shared by his son, Leone, who nurtured Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto at the Neive estate.
Bright ruby. Opens with notes of rose petals and wild raspberry, some blood orange. Hearty and gripping in the attack and course, in the mid palate there is a lot of plum, then in the finish it is unfortunately quite coarse and drying.
