100% Monastrell
Vineyards planted between 20 and 50 years ago with an average age of 35 years. The grapes are sorted rigorously and are destemmed at the bodega. The grapes are macerated in stainless steel tanks and undergo malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques. 12 months in new, second, third, and fourth use French oak barriques. It has purple red color with medium plus body, chewy phenolics and balanced acidity. The wine shows dusty red and darker red fruit with some black fruit. Notes of coffee and black pepper are prevalent with hints of mineral earth. This wine is supple and alive but more elegant and refined than the entry level offering from this producer. 15% ABV
