Vino Lauria Quarantasarme Perricone IGT Terre Siciliane 2019

Purple red with violet reflections and black core.  On the nose the blackberries, plums and blueberries show themselves clearly outlined, underneath shimmer mineral notes of wet stone and distinctive spice of tobacco, freshly tanned leather and dark spices like pepper and black cardamom.  This organic Perricone spent one year in large oak barrels. Wild plum, blackberry, fragrant tayberry, red liquorice, and thorns flood the fleshy palate, framed with sticky tannins, and buoyed by marine acidity.  14.5% ABV
